The inspiration for this jar comes from the beautiful shape of poppy seed heads in late summer.
This pot has a raku crackle glaze with lines infused with carbon making them black from the smoking process as the pot cools. The top is unglazed, patterned and carbonised black from smoking combustibles, paper and sawdust.
Raku pots are decorative, and not suitable for food or liquid use.
