Whilst some of these philosophers are happier to stay alone, others love to be in groups whose positions can be re-arranged for different types of conversation.
The crackles in the glazed surface caused by rapid cooling of the pot are blackened by smoke from burning combustibles including sawdust and paper. This philosopher has been fired at a low temperature to maximise on the carbonised crackles and therefore is porous and not suitable for food or liquid use.
