This one has a turquoise raku crackle glaze with strong markings infused with carbon, making them black from the smoking process as the pot cools. The top is unglazed and decorated with parallel zig zag lines and carbonised black from smoking combustibles, paper and sawdust.
The glaze has melted freely and a big globular drip just clears the shelf, while some of the molten glaze bubbles have popped as it cooled showing it’s birth by fire
Raku pots are decorative, and not suitable for food or liquid use.
