This jar has a turquoise raku crackle glaze with particularly strong markings infused with carbon, making them black from the smoking process as the pot cools. The top is unglazed and decorated with parallel zig zag lines and carbonised black from smoking combustibles, paper and sawdust.
Raku pots are decorative, and not suitable for food or liquid use.
